WHY KÖRNER?

We take pride in our German-Texan heritage.

Our family-owned grist mill is located in the heart of Winters, Texas, a small town in Runnels County. At the turn of the century, the appeal of fertile, available land brought a large number of immigrants to Runnels County. Many of them were from Germany and Czechoslovakia, and nearly all were farmers. This is where our story began. We take pride in our German-Texan heritage, and our name exemplifies this: Körner means “grain” in German. Our family has passed down the desire to work hard to produce high-quality products from start to finish.

OUR FAMILY

A blend of knowledge and passion.

The Molamphy family have over nine years of experience in the milling industry, and pride themselves on both quality and strong family values. Mark Molamphy graduated from Kansas State University’s one-of-a-kind Grain and Science Industry program in 2004. Throughout his career, he has worked at Morrison Milling, Horizon Milling, and Quaker Oats. Leslye Molamphy’s father comes from a long line of farmers and taught her the importance of hard work and family. The combination of both Mark’s knowledge and Leslye’s passion is what makes Körner special.
